Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Professionally represent the County’s federal objectives and priorities with members of the Oregon congressional delegation and staff, relevant members of Congress and their staff, appropriate congressional committees and their professional staff, The Executive Branch and relevant federal agencies. 2. Monitor and report on relevant federal legislative, administrative and judicial developments and decisions that pertain to the County’s federal interests. 3. Work with the County’s congressional delegation to advance the Counties priorities. 4. Identify and advocate on federal issues as they arise that are relevant to the County, but not previously discussed. 5. Influence legislative, administrative, and regulatory decisions to favor of County priorities. 6. Identify and implement strategies to secure federal funding for County priorities through annual appropriations, authorization legislation, and discretionary programs. 7. Work with Government Relations staff to organize relevant departmental and congressional meetings for County Commissioners and policy staff during annual Washington DC visits. 8. Work with Government Relations staff to develop Board Approved Federal Legislative Agenda.
