All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Removal and replacement of irrigation system for all turf areas contained within the dog park perimeter fence as identified in Attachment B and Attachment C. Irrigation system shall follow specifications identified in Attachment A. The new irrigation system shall be modern and improve irrigation coverage of the turf area. Future pathways, shelter pads, and berming should be considered during the design of the irrigation system. 2. Installation of a drainage system for all areas contained within the dog park perimeter fence as identified in Attachment B. a. The contractor may add soil and berms to aid the drainage system. 3. Installation of stabilized gravel foundation/structure and gravel entry areas in each dog pen as generally identified in Attachment B. a. Gravelpave2 by Invisible Structures shall be used. See Attachment D. Granite color systems with 3/8” limestone chat is preferred. Granite colored. b. An attached weed barrier shall be used on the Gravelpave2 system. 4. Installation of concrete entry as generally identified in Attachment B. 5. Removal of existing drinking fountains and installation of new drinking fountains as generally identified in Attachment B. a. Drinking fountains to be provided by the City of Wichita. 6. Contractor should try to stay above the cap into the dump material where possible. a. If the dump is opened or planned to be opened, the contractor shall notify the City of Wichita immediately. b. The City of Wichita may apply for and is approved to re-open the closed facility. Should this occur, the contractor may utilize all subcap volumes as long as the management practices outlined above are followed. 7. The proposer shall connect to the existing water meter on site. 8. The proposer shall be responsible for ensuring that the irrigation system has adequate water pressure to operate properly and efficiently. If a boost pump is required the proposer shall provide all equipment, controls, utility services, etc. to have a fully functional system. Boost pump, if required, shall be installed in an appropriate enclosure to protect it from weather, if required, and vandalism as approved by the Department of Park and Recreation. Boost pump, if required, shall be placed on a pedestal/pump base to raise the bottom of the motor 8 inches above surrounding terrain to protect from flooding. 4 9. If required, piping passing beneath parking lots, drives or park roads shall be directionally bored. The pavement surface shall not be cut out. 10. The system shall be able to apply a minimum of 2 inches of water per week in a maximum water window of 6 hours per day. If the project is not completed on or before the completion date of October 15, 2023, the City of Wichita shall levy liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per day.
