Specifications include, but are not limited to: Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified contractors to provide bagged wood shavings for bedding at the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center, Ames, Iowa. SU reserves the right to cancel this contract upon 30 days written notification, without penalty, should poor quality shavings be delivered and not rectified after sufficient opportunity has been given. If the shavings are found to be unreliable for use or not conforming to specified requirements as stated throughout this bid document, Iowa State University, shall reserve the full right to reject the shipment and return it at the vendor’s expense. Unacceptable material would be material deemed wet, too dusty, moldy, containing toxic products, wood chips or any other characteristics that would make the product objectionable. The shavings specifications are listed below but not limited to: must be of a consistent size and thickness, and must be wood shavings, not saw dust or sander dust ISU preference is a small flake while medium/small flake will be considered..
