Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Dover is looking to replace existing cooling tower serving the Carrier 30HXC ice rink chiller. This will require the following: • Shutting down Carrier chiller, as per manufacturers instructions, with emphasis on safety and performance of chiller when reestablishing cooling tower operation. • Drain cooling tower sump and supply/return lines to indoor sump safely securing treated water. • Disconnect power to tower fan motor & sump heaters as necessary. • Perform lock out tag out of tower pump, heaters and tower fan tower may be welded to stand, the tower stand remains. • Paint tower stand prior to installation of new tower on old stand. • Coordinate paint color with City of Dover staff. • Verify power requirements of new fan and coordinate wiring to existing power supply from VFD. • Remove old BAC tower from stand and coordinate disposal to local scrap yard. Scrap value of old tower to be returned to City of Dover minus cost to transport and dispose. • Set new tower in place. • Add any structural steel needed to support new tower as dimensions maybe different Includes rigging and crane service. • Pipe new Evapco, or equal Tower, to existing supply and return piping. • Connect new tower to existing power supply. Wire in controls from new tower vibration switch to VFD and chiller controls. • Fill with water and commission. • Provide equipment manual, installation instructions and startup / performance test data to City of Dover. • Start up Carrier chiller and re establish cooling to ice rink floors as necessary.
