Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Burlington (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms for “design-build” services relating to the proposed Water Treatment Plant (WTP) office renovations. Design– build is a project delivery system used to deliver a project in which the design and construction services are contracted by a single entity. Qualified firms will possess technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, references, and related prior experience to complete the projects described in this Request for Proposal (“RFP”). Responding firms will also be required to demonstrate professional services which include, but are not limited to; design and construction of similar office renovations including electrical, mechanical/HVAC coordination and general office fit-up. The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide and perform the following services: 1. Design. Coordinate with DPW-WRD to finalize the design of the Water Treatment Plant office renovation project. DPW-WRD has provided preliminary design of the WTP office renovations (Exhibit A. Preliminary Design Plans). Complete final design of the office renovations including electrical and mechanical/HVAC services. Prepare interim design submittals to allow DPW-WRD to review and provide input. Prepare final project documents to allow for the construction of the office renovations. 2. Permitting. Identify and complete all necessary project permitting. DPW-WR will pay all applicable permit fees. 3. Procurement and construction. Procurement of all necessary materials and construction of Water Treatment Plant office renovations including, but not limited to; mobilization, demobilization, demolition, insurance, overhead, profit, bonds, storage, delivery, taxes, installation, documentation, record keeping, invoicing and management.
