Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Des Moines, Iowa, (City) is hereby soliciting consultant proposals for professional services to provide design, bidding and construction phase services for the Douglas Avenue Improvements from Merle Hay Road to Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. Project includes moving both curbs and gutters along the entire project to align nearer to the outside edges of the existing three-lane roadway section. The project will also include reconstructing the sidewalk along the south side of the roadway to Lower Beaver Road. The project will also include construction of an eight-foot-wide trail along the north side of the roadway to Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. This project will be bid via an Iowa Department of Transportation letting.
