Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Test all existing electrical system prior to commencing demolition. Identify and report all existing deficiencies and report to the City. Contractor will not be responsible for existing defective items. b. Remove all electrical equipment within the electrical vault room, unless noted otherwise. c. Remove all associated site electrical service equipment, conductors, poles, etc. Coordinate with HECO. d. Consolidate two HECO’s services (primary service and secondary service) into one secondary service. e. Replace existing City-owned utility transformer with new HECO’s pole mounted transformer. f. Provide all new metering equipment, panels, and other electrical equipment within the electrical vault. g. Reconnect all existing loads. h. Replace lighting contactors within the vault with new, reconnect loads, and test. i. Refurbish the electrical vault security windows and doors, and paint. (Roof is out of scope). The windows and doors shall be of super heavy-duty materials and designed to withstand extreme vandalism. j. Hazardous material survey has been done for relevant areas of the vault. k. Removal, disposal, and hazardous material testing of existing primary and secondary distribution system equipment, including pad mounted transformers, transformer oils, panels, cabling/wiring, and PCB testing and disposal of transformer, in accordance with all Federal and State regulations. l. Construction Phasing: Phase project to minimize power outage to the Users. Outages will be limited to 48 hours.
