Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project includes constructing a new three-lane roadway with drainage improvements to provide one travel lane in each direction, a continuous two-way left turn lane, and sidewalk. Regional drainage improvements include a combination five cell, ten-foot by sixfoot/single cell ten-foot by twelve-foot reinforced concrete box culvert to provide an all-weather crossing (100 year storm event) of Queen Creek Wash. Included in the culvert are headwalls, wingwalls, access ramp, weir structure, erosion protection elements, and grade controls structures to protect and provide access to the drainage crossing. Roadway drainage improvements will include concrete scuppers that will convey runoff generated within the right–of-way to roadside retention basins. A new multi-use path, surfaced with decomposed granite, will extend an existing path to provide connectivity on the west side of Kenworthy Road from Chandler Heights Road to Ocotillo Road. A Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), signing, pavement markings, and storm water pollution prevention plan will best management practices are also included with the project.
