Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project Priorities: 1. Larger, flexible competition gymnasium supporting basketball, volleyball, and practice sessions with seating capacity of 1,000 seats minimum. 2. Centralized and healthy athletic support spaces such as team lockers, sports medicine, and strength and conditioning. 3. Planning for a dedicated multi-activity court (MAC) to support a variety of campus programs such as campus intramurals and the peace officer training program. 4. Future planning for new ice facility to support college's new men’s and women's hockey program ; Phase 1 Conduct a Strategic Visioning Retreat/Internal Assessment This one-day session is designed to help the Lake Region State College assess their current status, develop short and midterm tangible goals and objectives, and clarify roles, and responsibilities of the Foundation Board, Booster Club and other stakeholders. Phase 2: Feasibility Study The feasibility study report will address, though not be limited to, the following: • LRSC’s real and perceived strengths and weaknesses in fundraising. • The community’s perception of LRSC. • Names of potential major donors/funders and what their interests might be • Determination of the amount of money that can be reasonably raised and best method(s) (e.g. increased mileage, general donations, high-end donors, naming rights etc.) • Given the community we live in, do we have enough money in our community/region to withstand a capital campaign? Or enough interest? • Determine campaign strategies for soliciting individual prospects • Other major fundraising campaigns in the area that might compete for the same donors • Possible alternatives for raising funds needed to complete the project i.e. potential grants • Appropriate timeframe for both the campaign planning study and the fundraising itself Phase 3 Create the fundraising campaign, campaign marketing plan and collateral materials (print, digital, audio, video marketing and support materials). This material will inform the public of the importance of enhancing and expanding Lake Region State College to include a new athletic facility, what it will mean to them in terms of education and growth, and the increased economic impact the college will have on the community in terms of added jobs and revenue.
