Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of Procurement Services issues this solicitation to establish an Award Contract for: Sand for Golf Courses for Multiple Kentucky Parks; All pricing submitted shall be per ton and inclusive of all shipping/delivery charges. For the textural analysis, the sand sample must be 89-90% sand. The sample will have a maximum of 5% silt, a maximum of 3% clay, and a maximum of 3% gravel. Silt + clay + Fine + Very Fine must not exceed 10%. Gravel + Very Coarse must not exceed 10%. For the sand particle size distribution, Very Coarse will have 10% maximum retained on the #18 mesh sieve. Coarse + Medium will have a minimum of 60% retained on the #35 and the #60 mesh sieves. Medium + Med/Fine will have a maximum of 20% retained on the #80 and #100 sieves. Fine + Very Fine will have a maximum of 5% retained on the #140 and #270 mesh sieves.
