Specifications include, but are not limited to: KUMC is seeking bids for Window Washing services for various campus buildings. The University has a set schedule as to when window cleaning must be completed. Suppliers are also requested to provide an “on-call” rate to support ad hoc cleaning needs. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for complete cleaning of windows. In addition to cleaning interior and exterior glass surfaces, all adjacent mullions, sills, and frames shall be cleaned. All windows are to be left clean and clear with no visible streaks or deposits. Mullion and sills are to be cleaned before final glass cleaning. Concrete ledges beneath windows shall be rinsed with clear water following window cleaning to prevent soil from drying and staining exterior surfaces. 1. Performance of Work A. Contractor shall provide all cleaners, chemicals, tools, scaffolds, ropes, hoisting apparatus, barricades, and other items necessary to perform this work. B. The University of Kansas Medical Center agrees to provide a connection to cold water and access to roof of building. The University assumes no responsibility for removal and replacement of blinds. C. The Contractor’s supervisor shall meet with facilities personnel to coordinate the work. Work will be inspected for approval purposes upon completion of the job. D. Contractor shall perform the service as requested by the University. It is anticipated the service will be completed quarterly for all entryway and annual for all exterior window cleans between August through September. 2. Hours: Contractor shall perform all work 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
