Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide and install video cameras to replace existing cameras at the Ground Transportation Center, 450 1st Street SE, and the Bus Garage, 427 8th Street NW, as requested by the Transit Division. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing security cameras and provide and install new security cameras at the following two locations for the Transit Division: • Ground Transportation Center, 450 1st Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa: 18 outside and 22 inside cameras • Bus Garage, 427 8th Street NW: 10 outside and 10 inside cameras Pricing is requested as an all-inclusive, firm-fixed price to complete the camera replacement project with the appropriate number of cameras needed to replace the existing cameras. Pricing shall include all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to provide fully installed and operational cameras at each location. Testing of newly installed equipment and training of end-users by the Contractor shall also be included in the all-inclusive, firm-fixed price. It is understood that all cameras may not need to be replaced on a one-to-one basis due to new technology that allows cameras to cover wider areas. • Current wiring can be used. • High definition / high resolution. • Must be compatible to access through the City’s existing Milestone XProtect software (live and recorded). • No additional computers or software will be needed. • Cameras must be appropriate for commercial applications with some to be installed up high, covering larger distances, exposed to extreme weather, and in some cases running 24/7. • Floor plans showing current camera placement at each location are attached.
