Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Metropolitan Nashville Aviation Authority (MNAA) is soliciting sealed proposals for providing the Remote Virtual Ramp Control System, which includes design and configuration, implementation, system testing and acceptance, operation and all equipment and other items necessary for, or incidental to, the VRC and maintenance of a VRC that meets the needs of MNAA. Virtual Ramp Control System (VRC) for the Nashville International Airport (BNA) to include providing system design and configuration, implementation, system testing and acceptance, operation, and all equipment and other items necessary for, or incidental to, the VRC and maintenance of a VRC that meets the needs of BNA. BNA is the largest commercial airport in Tennessee and the 27th largest commercial service airport in the US. The Airport hosts 23 airlines with 99 non-stop destinations, a growth of over 100% in the last 10-years. BNA’s expansion plan will see an increase of gates from the current 41 to 54 by November 1, 2023 and 69+ by July 1, 2028. It will include an extension of Concourse D and replacement/expansion of Concourse A with up to seven electric Satellite Concourse Shuttles running continuously from the terminal to satellite concourses. The VRC system must allow ramp control personnel to manage aircraft movements in the Non-Movement Area, to and from the gates, through the use of cameras delivering live views, surface surveillance feeds, radio communication, and information technology from a remote Virtual Ramp Control Center (VRCC) furnished and staffed by the vendor. BNA anticipates the system to be fully implemented by October 31, 2024.
