Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose is for the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) to secure a professional full-service contract to increase the supply and quality of child care through targeted, and specialized Child Care Capacity Business Development services from a CDFI that 1) will develop, implement, and monitor a supply building grant, 2) increase the knowledge and skills of child care providers in the area of business planning and development, and 3) provides technical assistance, and increases the capacity of operators of licensed child care homes and centers to provide high-quality child care in New Mexico. The Offeror must be a CDFI and have at least ten (10) years of experience offering grants and other financial assistance and technical assistance to expand the quality and supply of child care businesses in states and in local communities. The Contractor shall develop, implement, and monitor a grants program for New Mexico licensed child care providers and help all child care businesses in New Mexico improve their business skills and financial capabilities through targeted technical assistance and the development of written provider assistance manuals and additional guidance to increase the number of children served in child care.
