Specifications include, but are not limited to: mass grade for the proposed Central Landfill entrance. This project will involve, but is not limited to clearing, grubbing, removal and stockpiling of topsoil, excavation, import and placement of borrow, construction surveying, erosion and sediment control, and placing topsoil and seeding. Construction shall be completed in accordance with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Standard Specifications for Highway Construction (SSHC) 2017 Edition. Project specific special provisions are provided in the following sections. The requirements contained in these specifications and special provisions are hereby made a part of this solicitation and resultant contract. • This project is approximately 2.9 miles east of Palmer off of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway, then south down 49th State Street. See project location and vicinity maps. • Contractor is to provide resources to complete this project without any adjustments in the original bid amount or contract time. • The Contractor is responsible for quality control per the DOT&PF SSHC 2017 Edition and the project’s Special Provisions. • Contractor shall request locates from the utilities having facilities in the area. Use the Alaska Digline, Inc. Locate Call Center. • Work Zone speed limit: Limit speed of vehicles associated with construction to 20 miles per hour within project limits.
