Specifications include, but are not limited to: TESTING REQUIREMENTS 2.1. All rock delivered to the County Stockpiles will be quality tested for abrasion and soundness according to Section 4.1 (Material Specifications) of this document. 2.1.1. In the event the Vendor is providing a product that does not meet the specifications, the County reserves the right to halt the hauling of material until the problem has been resolved. 2.1.1.1. In the event the hauling needs to the halted, the Vendor may be given additional days to complete the project. 2.1.1.2. Rock that is rejected and subject to non-payment by the County shall be removed from County property by the Vendor immediately at the cost of the Vendor. 2.1.2. The results of the tests will be forwarded to the County prior to payment for services. 2.1.3. All testing work required shall not be charged to the County. 2.1.4. Vendor must provide daily gradation test results for the rock supplied on the project and provide results to the County on a daily basis during hauling periods. 2.1.4.1. The tests will be conducted at the production site by qualified personnel in accordance with the Nebraska Dept. of Roads Materials Sampling and Testing Guide. HAULING REQUIREMENTS 3.1. Vendors will not be allowed to use belly-dump trucks for any of the hauling on this bid. 3.1.1. All hauling equipment will conform to the Nebraska State Statutes with regard to legal width, height, length and weight. 3.2. Vendor must complete all hauling within the time schedule listed below, and complete without interruption until all rock has been delivered to that stockpile. 3.2.1. Hauling days will begin on the first day that crushed rock is delivered to the County stockpile. 3.2.2. The exception to this requirement is for bad weather, including rain or snow, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Hauler. 3.2.2.1. The Vendor and the County will communicate the events of the hauling days which are interrupted due to bad weather or other circumstances. 3.2.3. A map of the stockpile locations is listed in the Bid Attribute section of the e-bid. 3.3. Vendors may be required to utilize certain roads for access from the production pit to the stockpile as shown in the table below and the Line Item for each stockpile. 3.4. Vendor will not be permitted to work at more than one site at a time without the consent of the County. 3.4.1. All work at each site must be completed prior to beginning work at the next site. 3.5. The Vendor will not be allowed to begin work until a PO has been issued and insurance has been obtained from the Vendor as listed in the County Insurance Requirements document attached to the bid. 3.5.1. Vendor must list Lancaster County as additional insured on the Certificate of Accord. 3.5.2. Vendor must provide a 48-hour notice prior to picking up or delivering crushed rock after PO has been received.
