Specifications include, but are not limited to: The existing sign bridge was impacted and damaged by a vehicle traveling on I-15 northbound. Remove and dispose of the existing sign bridge structure and install a new roadside shoulder sign in accordance with the special provisions, plans, and detail sheets of this contract. This includes providing all signing materials, supports, connections, traffic control, tools, equipment, and any other incidental work or materials necessary to complete the project. The following details, plan sheets, or shop drawings are provided for reference: MDT Drawing Number 619-13 Cedar St 1 Mile Existing Sign Bridge Shop Drawings CONTRACT TIME Description. The contract begins on a mutually agreed upon date, after the issuance of the Purchase Order, but no later than October 2, 2023. The work is to be completed in 10 working days. No work is allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, or State of Montana Holidays. Liquidated Damages. For work not completed on or before 10 working days from the mutually agreed upon start date, liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount established by Subsection 108.08. SIGN BRIDGE REMOVAL Remove the existing sign bridge over I-15 Northbound. Remove and dispose of all sections of the sign bridge structure above the top of the existing concrete foundations, including the vertical steel posts, horizontal sign bridge truss section, signs, and associated connection and mounting hardware. Cut and remove anchor bolts flush with the top of foundation. Leave the concrete foundations in place. Basis of Payment. All costs associated with the removal of the damaged sign bridge will be paid for in the Lump Sum bid item Misc.-Sign Structure. ROADSIDE SIGN Description. Provide and install new roadside sign, foundations, and mounting hardware in accordance with drawing 619-13 and drawing Cedar St 1 Mile Sign Location. Install the new roadside sign between 10 and 20 ft south of the luminaire (which is located 25 feet south of the existing sign bridge) and approximately 5 ft behind guardrail. Installation Details. Install sign in accordance with the following dimensions and drawing 619-13: Mounting Height: 7’ Slope: 6:1 – Estimated X Post: 15’ – 9” Y Post 16’ – 9” Supports Required: (2) W8x18 Foundation Depth: 5’ – 6”
