Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. OFPM desires to establish a five-year contract consisting of an initial three (3) year period with two (2) renewals of 12 months each. b. Weekly/monthly Services. Vendor will be responsible for routine cleaning and services to existing fountain to ensure high levels of care and sanitary conditions. c. Yearly Startup/Shutdown. Vendor will be responsible for starting the fountain up in the spring and shutting down the fountain in the fall. This will include winterizing the fountain to ensure it isn’t damage during periods of nonuse. d. Needed Repairs. Vendor will report all necessary or recommended repairs that go beyond the expectations of this contract. Vendor will submit requests to the Statehouse Maintenance Supervisor, Brian Moore with repair costs and to obtain permission to repair. e. Vendors bidding on this contract are to: (1) Submit tentative schedule for services. Include frequency, and plan for maintaining the fountain for a period of one year. (2) List proposed chemicals that will be used to treat/maintain the fountain in safe working order and to keep water clear and free of algae. (3) Provide total cost of maintaining the fountain for a period of one year. Include inspection and maintenance cost of pumps, valves, filter in the pump room, gaskets and O-rings, and light bulb replacement (yearly, during shutdown because lights stay on year around). (4) Provide hourly labor cost and trip cost (if any) for routine or non-routine maintenance requests. (5) When needed, research and provide cost for materials/parts for non-routine maintenance. (6) Provide cost estimates for annual startup and winterization. (7) List any other considerations or services that the vendor feels is necessary to successfully meet this contract. f. Fountain to be serviced is located to the immediate North of the Kansas Judicial Center, 301 SW 10th St. Bidding vendors are encouraged to conduct own inspection of the fountain to ensure accurate bid submission.
