Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and allowances 2. Timely and accurate tax collections, withholding, reporting to include federal, state and local taxes 3. Preparation and distribution of employee paychecks and/or direct deposits 4. Generation of pay stubs and year-end tax documents (Ex. W-2’s, 1099’s, etc.) 5. Managing payroll inquires, including providing support to employees regarding payroll related matters 6. Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations related to payroll processing and tax obligations 7. Maintenance and secure storage of payroll data and records 8. Generating various payroll reports as required by Penobscot County for internal and external reporting purposes 9. Integration of payroll data into the Harris Trio budgetary accounting system, ensuring seamless data transfer and accuracy
