Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Iowa (hereafter, The University /University) located in Iowa City, Iowa, is soliciting written proposals from qualified Suppliers to provide recruitment services for the Department of Anesthesia. The successful Supplier will work in partnership with the University and will be expected to recruit or provide qualified anesthesiologists for the University, for both general anesthesia and specialties including Ambulatory, Cardiovascular/Thoracic, Neurosurgical, Obstetrical, and Regional and Acute Pain Medicine. Anesthesiologist responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Participating in team-based anesthesia care and personally providing anesthesia care Serving as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating for effective patient outcomes Active participation in the academic activities of the Department and College of Medicine Supervising students, residents, fellows, SRNA’s and non-anesthesia rotators Providing developmental feedback to those under supervision, verbally and in writing Preparing educational materials, leading and/or attending academic lectures and professional development events Demonstrating commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive team-based work environment Research activities are encouraged, though participation is not required for continued employment or promotion
