Specifications include, but are not limited to: Background - The City of Cedar Rapids Information Technology Department is seeking bids from low voltage network cabling Contractors to provide materials and services needed to execute small scale fiber optic and copper network cabling projects, adds, moves, changes, and troubleshooting on an as-needed basis. Small projects are defined by projects including 15 or fewer network cable drops to be installed, terminated, tested, and documented. All vendor installed cabling shall be guaranteed usable and warranted against defects prohibiting functionality for a period of 36 months after work completion. 2.0 Examples of work to be performed 2.1 Installation and termination of CAT6A network cable drops including those serving 2.1.a. Wireless Access Points 2.1.b. IoT Devices (e.g., time clocks, room schedulers, smart TV’s, etc.) 2.1.c. User Devices (e.g., integrated office cubicle system or surface mount box terminations for phones, desktops, laptops)
