Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Sewage Treatment Division of the Water Utilities Department needs to dispose of Special Waste (grit) from the Sewage Treatment Plant No. 2 located at 2305 E. 57th Street South at a Municipal Solid Waste Sub-D Landfill. It is preferred that the landfill be located in the State of Kansas. The Special Waste is non-hazardous wastewater grit and screenings, and there is no use for this product. The contract will specify a net ton price for disposal of Special Waste generated by the City of Wichita Water Utilities Department Sewage Treatment Division. The City estimates production of 2,400 tons annually. The listed tonnage amount is an estimate only and does not warranty or guarantee, nor limit in any way, the actual amount of Special Waste that requires disposal. New laws, regulations or policies, changing patterns of treatment, or other factors may significantly increase or decrease the amounts of Special Waste generated during this contract.
