Specifications include, but are not limited to: Butte-Silver Bow (BSB) City-County Urban Revitalization Agency (URA) is requesting proposals for the installation of pavement markings on crosswalks in Butte, Montana. BSB is committed to enhancing pedestrian safety and we believe that high-quality pavement markings will play a significant role in achieving these goals. We are seeking a qualified contractor to supply and install pavement markings for a total of 9 crosswalks. We understand that there are many different products on the market. We are looking for something durable, cold-weather and snowplow resistant. BSB is requesting proposals to provide materials, equipment, and labor for work which will include but is not limited to the following: design layout (3 iterations), furnishing and installing pre-formed pavement markings as requested, traffic control, and permitting. The County is seeking thermoplastic or methyl methacrylate pavement markings. The crosswalk design will include street names, a pattern, and incorporation of a logo. Estimated quantity is 5,250 square feet over 9 crosswalks. One crosswalk is concrete, the other 8 are asphalt. The project aims to improve visibility, durability, and longevity of the pavement markings, ensuring enhanced safety for pedestrians and efficient traffic management. The scope of work includes: Removal of existing marking, if applicable Surface preparation and cleaning Installation of pavement markings in accordance with industry standards and local regulations Quality assurance and quality control measures Traffic control is to be provided by the Contractor understanding proper placement of cones and or closing lanes to avoid confusion by the public, moreover, avoid unnecessary damage to paint.
