Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Treasury seeks the following support services: i. Hardware Monitoring and break/fix support for VxRail platform. a. The Treasury maintains service contracts with Dell. The Treasury would rely on the ITMS vendor to arrange service with Dell for any hardware issues that arise. b. The Treasury would expect the ITMS vendor to perform VxRail system and VMWare updates as required by Dell. c. The Treasury would like the ITMS vendor to perform a thorough review of the Treasury’s VxRail platform and make recommendations to enhance the platform’s performance and reliability ii. Server Software Monitoring. a. The Treasury currently uses a Nagios VM appliance to monitor its 28 Windows Servers. Basic server stats are monitored including up\down (ping), CPU threshold, drive capacity and some key services. Windows logs are monitored for red flag events. b. The Treasury would expect the ITMS vendor to respond to any adverse monitoring events and restore server stability within agreed upon time frames. c. The Treasury is open to having the ITMS vendor implement its own monitoring platform or continue to build upon the Nagios platform. d. The Treasury is not looking for the ITMS vendor to take any responsibility for the appropriate functioning of any line of business application running on servers. iii. Backup Monitoring and Configuration. a. The Treasury uses Dell RecoverPoint to backup and replicate VMs. b. The Treasury uses Arcserve to backup on-premises storage to AWS S3 storage. c. The Treasury uses AWS replication and snapshotting to backup AWS VMs and S3 storage. d. The Treasury expects the ITMS vendor to aid the Treasury in the configuration of appropriate backup mechanisms, monitor backups, and ensure backups execute as expected. e. The Treasury expects the ITMS vendor to aid in the restoration of any servers or files from backups. iv. SQL Server Monitoring and Tuning. a. The Treasury uses SQL Server maintenance plans to backup and optimize databases. The Treasury expects the ITMS vendor to monitor SQL Agent jobs, take action to correct issues, and promptly consult with Treasury Staff. b. The Treasury would like the ITMS vendor to review SQL Server configurations and provide guidance on how to best configure SQL Server.
