Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Newport currently generates up to 3,480 wet tons (approximately 4,130 cubic yards) of Class A biosolids from its Vance Avery Wastewater Treatment Plant annually. This number is expected to grow to approximately 4,500 wet tons (5,340 cubic yards) in the next 5 years. The contractor will receive and provide covered storage during winter months (October - April) of up to 2,250 wet tons of Class A biosolids annually by 2028. The contractor shall have the capability to land-apply up to 4,500 wet tons of Class A biosolids annually by 2028. The contractor will assume ownership, possession and control of Class A biosolids upon delivery. The contractor will identify and/or provide land, all equipment, onsite storage, management, land application equipment, and labor to land-apply the biosolids.
