Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Wichita Department of Public Works & Utilities is requesting proposals for Program for the Future of the Main Water Treatment Plant (MWTP) located in Sedgwick County, Kansas. The Project Goals related to the existing Main Water Treatment Plant (MWTP) (1815 W Pine St; Wichita, KS 67203) include: • Identify available alternatives for the short- and long-term future of the facility considering the Northwest Water Facility (NWWF) projects coming online near the end of 2024. • Complete an analysis that identifies the top alternatives for the organization and community, considering capital, operation, and maintenance costs, analysis of risks and maintenance of service levels, optimization of existing asset useful lives, and total lifecycle costs. • Present and/or support City staff presentation of the top alternatives to various stakeholder groups and to the City Council for consideration and direction. • Upon selection of the preferred alternative, complete an asset condition review and development of a Concept Design, including refinement of immediate and ongoing capital, operation and maintenance costs.
