Specifications include, but are not limited to: LESS-DESTRUCTIVE DREDGING AND DEWATERING: Any method of dredging and dewatering that will not destructively harm the ponds ecosystem. Contact city staff with any questions on if a dredging method is suitably nondestructive. Approximately 2,200-2,500 cubic yards of material is estimated. See Attachment C: Depth Analysis Report for a more detailed analysis of the pond. * Includes, all applicable permitting, removal of debris and sediment, hauling, and offsite disposal. * DEWATERING SITE PREPERATION: A site is designated for dewatering located next to the adjacent ballfield’s gravel parking, approximately 220’ northwest of the northeastern corner of the pond. Contractor shall grade the area to an acceptable slope. Care shall be taken not to disturb more area than necessary. Any additional site space needed shall be agreed upon by the city before being used and will be repaired to its original condition or as otherwise agreed to by staff after the project. The contractor shall not use an in-ground settling pit to dewater the sediments. DEWATERING SITE REPAIR: Repair the site by grading to match existing parking lot and apply gravel to all disturbed areas that can be utilized as parking. Grade and seed disturbed areas not suitable for parking, as determined by City staff. MOBILIZATION: Shall include any costs required to perform the work of less-destructive dredging.
