Specifications include, but are not limited to: Manure Hauling Operation ISU would like an operator to load and haul manure dry cattle manure in ISU owned fields. Manure operations dates shall be approved by farm representative. ISU will notify Operator when field conditions are suitable for optimal manure application. Operator shall be available by cell phone communication to the farm manager. Owner shall provide Operators with forth-eight (48) hours’ notice of when field operations are to begin. The Operator shall take all necessary precaution for the safety of employees and shall provide all necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to all employees on the job and all other persons who may be affected. Corn Stalk Operations ISU would like operator to cut, rake, bale and haul approximately 600 stalk bales. Mowing raking and baling dates shall be approved by farm representative. ISU will notify Operator when fields and combined and conditions are suitable for optimum cutting, raking and baling. Operator shall be available by cell phone communication to the farm manager. All hay will be baled into large round bales or large square bales as directed by farm manager. Round bales shall be net wrapped. ISU would like operator to haul bales from fields to ISU Beef Nutrition farm. Optional: Harvesting Hay Operation Hay Acreage: All requested cuttings from 85 acres alfalfa, and 60 acres pastureland. Mowing/conditioning, raking and baling dates shall be approved by farm representative. ISU will notify Operator when hay maturity and field conditions are suitable for optimum hay quality for the harvest of each cutting. Operator shall be available by cell phone communication to the farm manager.
