Specifications include, but are not limited to: NARA NW is currently seeking proposals for security services at multiple sites. The table below defines the days and hours of coverage by site. Flexibility to add/decrease sites and hours of coverage will be required. Job Duties: Perform foot patrols of the campus to ensure security of campus. Minimum of 3x per shift. Perform door lock checks during foot patrols. Escort clients and employees from vehicles in the parking lot, as requested. Keep daily activity records (DAR). Record any incident of suspicious activity and/or trespassers on appropriate reporting forms. Lock and unlock staff parking gates at Wellness. Escort staff to de-escalate a situation with patients. Ensure staff and client safety during a lockdown procedure. Escort trespassers off the property in a respectful manner. Guards should de-escalate a situation instead of engaging in physical contact. Physical contact should be a last resort. SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS Only authorized personnel may be armed, subject to prior approval and subject to possessing the Oregon DPSST Armed Security Certification. Security personnel are allowed to wear non-uniform/business casual dress code. It is strictly prohibited to wear attire that may be deemed offensive. Attire pertaining to drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited while on the premises. All personnel are required to always carry cell phones. An established reporting chain of command must be maintained. Completion of CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training is mandatory. Due to the nature of NARA NW’s clientele and locations communication of guards and security management/supervisory staff with site managers and NARA administration is crucial.
