Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas Department of Corrections is seeking qualified bidders to provide First Aid, CPR and AED Training The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) requires that all adult and juvenile corrections officers and other designated facility staff be certified in standard First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Each facility has its own certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructors that provide training locally. The Department has ten agencies across the state of Kansas. 1. The KDOC has 42 certified First Aid, CPR and AED instructors located at ten facilities. The vendor shall provide First Aid, CPR, and AED train-the-trainer transition training for the 42 current instructors by July 31, 2023. The transition training shall be conducted to familiarize the instructors with the training materials and procedures of the vendor. The vendor shall certify such trained staff as First Aid, CPR and AED Instructors. The certified instructors shall then conduct First Aid, CPR, and AED training for approximately 4,000 KDOC staff, contract staff, and civilian supervisors. 2. The agency's preference is that the train-the-trainer transition training be conducted using distance learning (webinar, online, etc.). If distance learning is not available, the training shall be delivered regionally on-site at the following locations: a. Ellsworth Correctional Facility, Ellsworth, KS b. El Dorado Correctional Facility, El Dorado, KS c. Norton Correctional Facility, Norton, KS d. Topeka Correctional Facility, Topeka, KS 3. To the extent available, the KDOC facility hosting the train-the-trainer course will provide and make available for the vendor’s use technological resources, equipment, technical support, materials, and supplies required for the training, to include computer, projector, DVD player, Resusci Annie mannequins, mouth shields, training AED, gloves, and mats. However, the vendor shall provide or arrange for the provision of any technological resources, equipment, technical support, materials, and supplies needed by the vendor to conduct the training that is not available from the facility.
