Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County plans to replace existing turf in high water usage areas among the landscaping at the different facilities with minimalistic design xeriscaping that is water conserving and drought tolerant (the “Project”). The main focus will be park strip areas, turf areas less than 8 feet, and sloped area’s greater than 25%. Additional areas of focus include other nonfunctional turf and high-water use areas that will save and conserve water if replaced with xeriscaping or other types of water conserving landscaping. The County desires to contract with a licensed landscape architect or design firm (“Landscape Architect”) experienced in design and construction of xeriscaping and low water use landscaping in Utah’s climate and environment. The County prefers a Landscape Architect with experience replacing existing landscaping with water conserving landscape design, irrigation, and plantings, by analyzing all existing landscaping and retro fitting with drought tolerant, low maintenance, and sustainable plantings.
