Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas Department of Commerce is seeking competitive bids for an experienced consultant or consultancy to serve as an authorized investment representative for Kansas in the DACH region of Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). One of the missions of the International Division is to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) to Kansas. Europe is an important market for Kansas, traditionally ranking as one of the state’s top sources of FDI. This contract is being established to provide the Division the ability to enhance the state’s international business recruitment efforts and increase the amount of FDI by having in-country representation in Europe. The representative will be expected to contribute to the growth of the state’s economy through the attraction of foreign direct investment to Kansas and the creation of quality jobs, thus increasing the opportunities for economic prosperity for all Kansans. The contract term will be for three (3) years with two (2) twelve-month renewal periods agreed upon by both agency and vendor.
