Specifications include, but are not limited to: Perform an on-site visit to assess the SLD’s environmental, food safety, and clinical/microbiological laboratory services. • These should include evaluation of the following: • laboratory space, ventilation systems, safety protocols, and adherence to biosafety standards. • adequacy of the laboratory’s equipment, instruments and technology systems. • adequacy of the laboratory’s workforce to perform essential functions in support of environmental programs, infectious disease epidemiology, biosafety and regulatory compliance • laboratory’s testing capabilities • quality management systems • workforce development • data management and reporting • emergency preparedness and response • partnerships and collaborations • organizational structure as it relates to providing services for other Department of Health Programs
