Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Stripping out existing sod, thatch and rootzone to a depth of approximately ½”-1” below existing thatch layer. • Reestablishing grade and installing new sod on designated area in center field. • New rootzone mix to be brought in to replace what has been removed. • Bidder to locate and mark out, bury or remove irrigation heads and quick connectors to prevent damage, contaminate irrigation system, or impede renovation process. Irrigation heads to be set back after completion. • Existing root zone mix to be mixed with new imported mix. • Returning the warning track to current conditions if necessary. • Reestablish a smooth transition from warning track to new sod and new sod to infield. • All spoils, materials and debris are to be hauled off site in a legal manner. MECA will not supply receptacles to dispose of old materials. • Ensure that the sod is transported in trailers that are climate controlled at all times. Sod is FOB destination. • MECA has the right to reject any sod that is substandard. The successful Bidder is responsible to replace the substandard sod at no cost to MECA. MECA must notify the successful Bidder within 48 hours of installation of substandard sod. • The Bidder must protect all adjacent areas not receiving work under the project and repair any damage to these areas or damage to any MECA property will be at their own expense. • The successful Bidder is responsible for locating all underground conduits, cables and other lines. The successful Bidder must communicate with MECA the identification of all underground conduits, cables and lines before commencing work. • The successful Bidder shall adhere to all codes, ordinances, or other regulatory requirements covering the scope of this project. • The successful Bidder shall obtain all appropriate permits for Work.
