Specifications include, but are not limited to: C1.1 The intent of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to provide the Newark Board of Education (NBOE, District) with Catering Services for various events. C1.2 The conditions and requirements are intended to be open and non-restrictive and are to serve as standards for the purpose of obtaining adequate participation of interested vendors; uniformity in the submission of bids, and selection of the most responsible vendors. All items bid shall either meet or exceed the following specifications. C1.3 The Newark Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informality in accordance with applicable law. Award of contracts will be subject to availability of funds. C1.4 Catering services shall accommodate 15 to 1,500 people based on the event. Catering services are frequently utilized for Back to School Nights, Parent Teacher Conferences, and Board Meetings. We anticipate over 200 catering events per year. C1.5 This contract requires inside delivery and set-up for approximately seventy-one (71) locations. C2 MEAL PRICES C2.1 The unit price per person is used to denote the fixed all-inclusive rate per meal to the District for the provision of a single meal with all its components, beverages, supplies, labor, equipment, transportation, delivery and set-up. The unit price per person is the total and maximum price per meal to the District. The maximum costs for light meals and refreshments are limited as follows: Breakfast shall not exceed $7.00 per person Lunch shall not exceed $10.00 per person Dinner shall not exceed $15.00 per person C2.2 Prices bid shall be all-inclusive including the price for meal, beverage, utensils, gratuity, delivery and set-up. C2.3 All pricing shall be entered in the RFP/Q - Pricing Spreadsheet segment of the electronic bidding platform https://www.npssourcing.com/ . C3 MENU C3.1 Bidders shall provide a menu for the categories below: a. Continental Cold Breakfast b. Hot Breakfast c. Box Lunch d. Lunch e. Dinner f. Mid-morning refreshments/afternoon refreshment C3.2 Menu offerings shall not include pork. All catering shall be pork free. C3.3 Bidders shall include options for vegetarian, vegan and religious diets.
