Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Quantity: Two full simulators with two instructor control centers and two VR Pre-Trip Inspection applications. 2. Includes both articulated and non-articulated training simulators (various class semis, straight trucks, vans, utility vehicles). 3. Designed specifically for training & includes transmission shifting training with interactive student practice sessions, simulated training scenarios, immediate feedback, adaptive electronic/audio coaching and training scenarios. 4. Pre-Trip Interactive app – Simulator should have an application that takes the student through every part of the truck (tires, brakes, inside the cab, underneath the truck). 5. Simulator should include different vehicles to be driven such as: Class 6, 7, 8 commercial vehicles with various loads (tanker, flatbed). Class 3,4,5 commercial vehicles (telephone lineman’s bucket truck). Straight trucks, step vans, delivery vehicles. Articulated vehicles and tractor trailers (single, doubles, triples). Motor coaches and buses. Fire engines and ambulances. M915 and M970 Tractor trailer. M9784A POL Unit. Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV). Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting. 6. Monitors Five 50” forward viewing monitors & sixth view monitor for effective perspective applied to backing scenarios. Provide high resolution (1080x1920, HD 4K capable) real time out the front windshield view of the road as well as side windows, backup. Provides the driver/trainee with important feedback and visual cues with reference to the vehicle’s position on the road and in synchronization with the virtual environment and the driver’s mirrors. 7. Mirrors: Interactive rear-view mirror and convex mirror views react to head position and change in view as would real mirror images. Driver’s side, center, and right-side insets mirrors and convex mirrors – one to each side. Mirror placement and angle controllable. Convex mirrors allow driver to view trailer’s wheels during turns. Mirror images adjust in direct response to the driver’s head position and orientation. Two cameras to allow for both color and depth images. 8. Dashboard: Reconfigurable (to model various truck models with re-positionable seat, replaceable steering wheel, extend/retract pedals, programming various dashboard instruments and warning lights) that is touch screen with replicate interactive gauges that serves as input devise for shifting simulator (speedometer, tachometer, air pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature, battery voltage, fuel gauge, water temperature, warning light sub panel) and switches (headlights, parking lights, windshield wipers/washer, all-wheel drive, hi/low AWD selector, mirrors position, HVAC controls- connected to blowers, parking brake, trailer air supply, ignition key, ignition start, 2 and 4 – cylinder engine brake), emergency lights and audible warnings all synchronized and relevant to the real time simulation. Transmission position, high beam indicator, low oil pressure, low air pressure, low tire pressure, brake fault, high engine temperature, check engine, ABS of/on, traction control off/on, transmission fault, lane departure, proximity sensor, sirens, wig-wag lights, radio, radio comm, navigation system, maintenance due, airbag fault. Dashboard gauges automatically loads with simulated vehicle is selected. 9. Seat: 6 way adjustable air ride seat with 3-point seatbelt. Seat motion and stochastic road feel/road vibrations. 10. Motion Base: motion provides cues to the driver and provides the impression of moving through the training exercise & motion is coordinated with the subsystems (vehicle dynamics, visual imagery, scenario, rode-tire model, steering model, sensory cues). Human-Centered design of motion that includes enhanced maneuver sensations including hard braking, multiple centers of yaw, sliding and slipping on ice and water, acceleration and braking forward and backward.
