Specifications include, but are not limited to: This design will involve the preparation of plans for the reconstruction of 142nd Street from Oakwood Drive to Waterford Road. This reconstruction will provide an urban cross section with an anticipated 10’ PCC trail on the west and 5’ PCC sidewalk on the east within a 120’ right-ofway. This will be a joint project with the City of Grimes. ; A preliminary plan and profile, along with a typical cross section, have been established as a starting point for the design. Related project items include grading, paving, storm sewer, and associated permits. The City’s roadway improvements are scheduled for construction in 2025. Additional right of way will need to be acquired to provide a 120’ wide right of way.; The design will also include the HMA overlay of 142nd Street north of Waterford Road. This road is currently gravel. Depending on the timing of development and progress of City annexation, this overlay may extend a half mile north of Waterford Road, or the full mile north to Meadow Drive.; The City is also looking for design of the preliminary plan and profiles for a five-lane arterial section for Waterford Road from 142nd Street to 128th Street, and for 142nd Street from the north corporate limits of Urbandale to the intersection with Meadow Drive (SW 19th Street).Please provide five separate fees: • A fee for the design of 142nd Street from Meredith Drive to Waterford Road. • A fee for the design of the HMA overlay of existing two-lane 142nd Street from Waterford Road to a half mile north of Waterford Road. • A fee for the design of the HMA overlay of existing two-lane 142nd Street from a half mile north of Waterford Road to Meadow Drive (SW 19th Street). • A fee for the design of a preliminary plan and profile for Waterford Road (SW 37th Street) for a 5-lane arterial from 142nd Street to 128th Street. • A fee for the design of a preliminary plan and profile for 142nd Street from the north corporate limits of Urbandale, 0.5 mile north of Waterford Road, to Meadow Drive (SW 19th Street).
