Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide equipment without operators for use on construction and maintenance work on an as needed basis and other incidental work. Bidder may bid on one or more regions. MaineDOT will use due care in the use of the equipment and will maintain it in good working order and condition. Any major maintenance shall be provided by the Contractor. The equipment specifications and terms are as follows: x All factory installed safety equipment shall be in place and operational x Equipment required to operate on public ways shall be legally registered for the duration of the rental. This includes the Contractor renewing the registration prior to expiration during the rental. x Bucket shall come with an identified, manufacturer approved lifting hook or lift loop. x Buckets shall come with a bolt on cutting edge or with new teeth that are bolted on, as applicable. x Each machine will be equipped with a rotating beacon or strobe light. x Each machine will have working heat, air conditioning and HEPA cab air filters x Four-wheel drive required x Loader must be articulating x Loaders requiring forks must come with quick coupler loader forks 60” in length x Some loaders will be required to have block heaters and night switches
