Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project is located at 5982 KY 40, Williamsport, KY 41271. The coordinates are 37.8104, -82.7334. The project area is 3 acres. A slide below the home is threatening the home and other structures, including a pool, deck, and the septic tank. Remediation consists of a 180LF 6' high pile and lagging wall at the house level utilizing W8x40 steel beams and guardrail lagging. Drilling has been performed at the site to assess depth to competent rock for construction of this wall. Unstable material below this wall will be excavated and removed until the slope is stabilized. The design includes a gabion wall 100LF in length and 9' high at the toe of the slide area to prevent further erosion of stable material. The lower rows of gabion baskets will be backfilled against with slide material to eliminate the high wall drop. Drainage will be added to include rock ditches flanking either side of the slide area, beginning at the wall subdrain outlets and extending to the natural drain below. The subdrain behind the gabion wall will also drain to these ditches. The waste area is located at 37.7889, -82.7904 in Hagerhill, 8 miles from the project site. The site will be filled and graded to promote positive drainage and will be seeded at the conclusion of the project. Concrete and roadway stone, has been factored into the contract. Revegetation of the site and the waste area, including agricultural limestone, fertilizer, mulch and seed will be done according to standard AML design specifications. No trees will be disturbed outside of the unstable slide area.
