Specifications include, but are not limited to: ● Fence Inspection: Inspection of existing watershed protection fences and/or scoping for new fences. ● Ungulate Control:4 Control within existing and to-be fenced (CIP FY22-25) areas according to an ungulate control plan with a timeline approved by the landowner(s). Allowable expenses include the cost to scope and design CIP FY22-25 fences, as well as actions to prepare for hooved animal removal, such as installing transects or game cameras to monitor ungulate populations. Control methods in existing fenced areas can include ground hunts, trapping, aerial shooting, etc. ● Weed Control: Control of priority invasive weed species in core and buffer areas identified by watershed management plans. Prevention and control of incipient invasive species that have a high potential to spread into important watershed areas. ● Planting: Re-vegetation with native plants within fenced areas. ● Monitoring: Monitoring of watershed management activities (e.g.: biocontrol for habitat modifying weeds and monitoring/sampling for Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death).
