Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Agency of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as VTrans, is seeking consultant engineering services to assist in the redefinition of the Vermont State Design Standards as the Vermont Multimodal Highway Guidance. VTrans envisions the final guidance document as an interactive, accessible document that can easily be updated and has the technical features and ease that are expected by today’s workforce. This overall effort will align VTrans with an evolving practice to continually consider the users of the facilities and how transportation assets impact communities and surrounding land uses, analyze the complexity of the interactions of assets and context, and define future policies and processes to better balance these interactions. The intended users of this document include internal policy makers, planners, and designers primarily on the state level, but it is anticipated that regional and municipal partners will access the guidance as well.
