Specifications include, but are not limited to: Montana State University is soliciting bids for fire extinguisher services for the MSUBozeman campus and vehicles. Contractor will provide to MSU all labor, materials, and equipment for the annual inspection, tagging, hydro testing, maintenance, or replacement of approximately 2500 portable fire extinguishers located in approximately 292 buildings and 122 vehicles on the MSU-Bozeman campus, using trained, fully qualified, and supervised personnel, to keep said fire extinguishers in a proper, safe operating condition per NFPA 10 always during the term of this contract. Contractor will be required to keep all maintenance records, including location, per fire extinguisher within a computerized maintenance system capable of providing requested reports and invoices within 2 business days. All fire extinguishers, and their corresponding wall hanger, must be bar-coded for identification by the contractor. If needed, extinguishers will be hung by the contractor per MSU specifications. Additional fire extinguisher may be added to the campus during the potential seven-year contract due to new constructions, etc. Please list the price per each 5# ABC fire extinguisher in Question #18 of eMACS IFB or on the space indicated on the attached IFB in the attachments section, this should not include any maintenance, testing, barcoding, or hanging, just the cost of the fire extinguisher. All services associated with a new extinguisher may be negotiated into an addendum of the contract.
