Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Maine is seeking proposals for a Technical Consultant to participate with the Office of School Facilities to advise and assist the Department in the conduct of school construction programs from design review through construction completion. The Office of School Facilities manages several school construction programs to improve the quality of the educational environment for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 students of Maine. These programs are designed to improve and maintain the health and safety and the modern-day learning environment in approximately 600 public schools throughout the State of Maine. The role of the Technical Consultant (Consultant) is to advise and to assist the Department regarding the implementation of certain elements of the Major Capital School Construction Program (Program) with an emphasis on assuring the equitable distribution of limited State resources to address statewide needs of school construction in Maine. The Consultant will also work with the RSU 10 Superintendent of Schools and their consulting architectural/engineering team to develop a solution for the school district’s construction project for acceptance by the State Board of Education, which is the approving agency for the Program.
