Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kenton County Fiscal Court (KCFC), through the Northern Kentucky Port Authority (NKPA), seeks qualifications packages from respondents who will be able to review, analyze, and recommend upgrades of transportation and utility infrastructure in Kenton County. This information will be used in finalizing the details of a new primary industry site readiness initiative. The county will engage the successful respondent selected through this RFQ process in that effort and the program’s implementation. Multiple studies and discussions over the years have identified the need for Kenton County to develop a site readiness initiative to bring production-oriented uses to the southwest Kenton County area, generally in proximity to I-75 and US-25. Thus, the county has identified establishing primary industry sites as a critical opportunity and challenge for continued economic success in Kenton County and the region. As a result, Kenton County is taking steps to prepare the county to plan for anticipated increases in demand in both transportation and utility infrastructure that could result from primary industry development in this area of the county.
