Contract Specific Respondents are hereby notified that all work performed on a task order issued under this solicitation shall be done in conformance with the following: a. The latest edition of the Rhode Island Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, as amended December 2022 including all subsequent revisions and supplements, at the date of task order b. Compilation of Approved Specifications and all revisions, at the date of task order c. Required Contract Provisions – Federal Aid Construction Contracts d. Rhode Island Standard Details, December 2022 Edition, with all subsequent revisions e. General Provisions - Contract Specific f. Specifications – Job Specific g. Contract Drawings and/or Sketches h. Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD) i. Federal Wage Rates j. The Division of Purchases Procurement Regulations Adopted December 2010 2. Construction Specific Work that may be performed on a task order issued under this solicitation includes, but is not limited to the following: a. Painting various bridge elements in accordance with Section 825 of the RI Standard Specifications, except as noted herein under Licenses and Certificates, Section a. b. Painting beam ends, and all associated steel bridge components. c. Painting bearings. d. Zone painting. e. Painting entire bridge structures. f. Painting bridge railings. g. Conducting the above on painted, galvanized, metalized, and other steel bridge components. h. All surface preparation and other bridge painting associated work, including but not limited to containment, as necessary and required by the Engineer. i. Site preparation for construction access. j. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic. k. Legal disposal of all debris and excess materials. l. All labor, materials, equipment, and all incidentals required to finish the work, complete and in place and accepted by the Engineer. The above list shall be used to identify specific work items for the purposes of task order tracking and inspection of the work, and general record keeping. Contractors are required to develop their lump sum prices and their lump sum breakdowns using specific work items identified in the task order solicitations, and to provide the price breakdown to RIDOT with their lump sum bids. The On-Call contractor that low bids a given task order will also be required to fill out unit prices/lump sums for work candidates that will assist RIDOT in tracking, modeling, and forecasting purposes.
