Specifications include, but are not limited to: Install temporary generator for duration of project, remove two (2) existing generators, install new precast electrical room, install metering and service disconnect, install new auto transfer switch lineup, install new permanent generator, transfer existing main distribution panel from existing utility transformer to new distribution, gut two (2) existing transfer switches, remove temporary generator. Civil: Grading and drainage improvements for the proposed electrical building, transformer pads, generator, and source switchgear. Architecture: The existing generator room will be converted into a conference room. This will require removal of two exterior doors in the room to be replaced with concrete masonry wall construction to match adjacent aesthetics. Inside of the new room metal furring, insulation, and gypsum wallboard finishes will be applied to the exterior masonry walls to achieve adequate thermal insulation and acoustics for a conference room and to conceal telephone, data outlets, and convenience power outlets. An acoustic tile ceiling will be installed to provide adequate acoustics and house lighting, HVAC, and life safety elements, as well as supports for ceiling mounted video equipment. Related renovation work includes replacement of interior masonry partitions with conventional metal stud and gypsum wall board construction.
