Specifications include, but are not limited to: Noe Substation contains a General Electric walk-in enclosed metal-clad switchgear that was put into service in the early 1980’s. One power transformer serves five outgoing feeders via this switchgear. Original transformer protective relaying, circuit breaker controls, feeder metering and relaying are mounted on indoor switchgear compartment doors. This project includes replacement of those switchgear doors with new relaying and metering installed. Doors suitable as replacements of the existing original switchgear doors with specified relaying and metering components installed and ready for field installation is the deliverable outlined in this specification. Relays, meters, and switches will be wired by the manufacturer per the provided wiring diagrams. A total of 12 replacement switchgear doors are required. One door may be shipped to the manufacturer to verify dimensions for the replacement doors. Provide all new materials, components, and equipment that are the latestin design, unused, and suitable for the intended use. The equipment shall conform to the latest applicable standards with respect to design, manufacture, testing, and performance. Workmanship shall conform to modern practice in manufacturing, assembly, and testing. Assemble, wire, inspect, and functionally test the panels at the factory. Manufacturer fabrication detail approval drawings are required prior to fabrication. If there are changes proposed by the manufacturer to the layout or wiring of the panels, the manufacturer shall notify the Engineer before fabrication.
