Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of Foster Care Temporary Staffing. The Department is interested in increasing risk protections around this child protection work beyond what is included in the statewide temporary services contract. To that end, the Department is interested in continuing to use the existing statewide temporary services contractor, ProPeople Temp Services, while they pursue their own contract that will require vendors to secure and maintain insurance coverage related to sexual abuse and molestation. The new contract will also require that temporary staff abstain from the use of tobacco products while performing their front-line work with youth. The Department is requesting the exemption for 12 months or until a solicitated contract is in place, which ever comes first.
