Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Maine is seeking responses to provide consulting services for the creation of a Strategic Operating Plan for the Collins Center for the Arts, the University’s multi-genre performing arts center. The University’s has a longstanding commitment to supporting its cultural institutions such as CCA and the arts will continue to be supported.However the University is experiencing changes in historical enrollment, regional shifts in the attitude toward and engagement with performing arts, and increasing regional competition. And while the CCA has served as a presenting institution and has a history of bringing a wide range of nationally significant performers and productions to of central Maine (for the purpose of this plan, defined as a 60-mile radius from Orono, and often referred to as the greater Bangor region). , the shifting landscape provides an opportunity evaluate the CCA’s strategic role within the university and community.
