Power Takeoff (PTO): To be designed specifically for the Allison 3000 RDS Series Automatic Transmission (This is the transmission that is currently installed in MDOT S/A dump trucks) and shall be equal to the Muncie CS24, Chelsea 280 Series, or equivalent having pressure lubrication, 12-volt hydraulic shift, over-speed control, and SAE "B" type hydraulic mounting flange. Must be mounted with a shaft extension device, which is designed to fit on an Allison 3000 RDS Series Automatic Transmission. The PTO is to run at 115% of engine speed. The direct PTO-mounted hydraulic pump (no open drive shaft) shall be a tandem gear type with cast iron housing, replaceable wear plates, and needle or roller-type bearings.
